The Essence
At Parish Pairings, we are passionate about creating culinary experiences that bring families together during special occasions. We are a family business that has spanned the test of time as we embark on our fourth generation of professional cooks. We are descendants of the Juanita Mallard Parish, just a little girl from Palestine, Texas.
That once, little girl from Palestine, Texas, moved to Mart, Texas, when she met and married Leonard "Bud" Parish. From their union, four children were born: Leonard, Dorothy, Martha, and the fourth became our matriarch, Helen Ann Parish. It was from Helen that we continued the tradition of family cooking in Houston, Texas. HAP, as she was affectionately called, carried with her the spirit of tradition and the rich flavors of family cooking, bringing them to Houston, Texas. Like their mother before them, Helen and her sister Dorothy became entrepreneurs, building on the strength and legacy passed down to them. Today, we walk the path they paved; still cooking, still creating, still honoring the women who came before us.

Vicki, lovingly known as "Sistah Vicki," is the mother of Alexandria, Victoria, and Juanita, and the proud daughter of our matriarch, Helen. With over 40 years of professional culinary experience, she stands as our most seasoned chef. Through every dish she creates and every lesson she passes down, Vicki brings to life the enduring vision of her mother and grandmother, keeping their spirit alive in every flavor and every gathering.

Alexandria, affectionately known as Trice, is a seasoned chef and a true veteran of the culinary world. With experience across multiple industries, she brings a deep well of knowledge, especially from her years in catering, to this newly reimagined venture. As a managing partner, Trice is not only a creative force but also a steady hand who can navigate any challenge with confidence and grace.
Juanita Cavitt
Sous Chef
Juanita, lovingly known as Sweetie, is the baby of the crew. She’s currently honing her craft in culinary school, where she’s gaining the skills and training to become the most refined chef among us. With her passion and dedication, Sweetie is carrying our family’s legacy into a new generation; one expertly plated dish at a time.
